College of Applied Biology Conference & AGM

Northwest Community College - Smithers

Through the initiative of Debbie Wellwood, RPBio, and with the generous support of the Bulkley Valley Research Centre and Northwest Community College, there will be a live webcast viewing of the College of Applied Biology Conference & AGM on March 13th at the Northwest Community College. The college is offering a discounted registration fee for both members of professional regulatory organizations ($80) and non-members ($95) who are interested in attending this event and taking advantage of the networking opportunity.  

The 2015 conference will feature presentations and panels exploring the changing roles of local governments and First Nations in the management of BC's natural resources, as well as an engaging session on science, policy advocacy, and decision-making. The day begins with the college’s AGM at 8 a.m. The conference gets underway at 9:15 a.m. and will wrap up at 4:45 p.m. View the conference schedule below. Members of the college will be eligible to claim nine CPD points for participation in both events, and seven for participation in the conference.  

To register, please complete the registration form found under "abstract" below and submit a scanned copy by email to adminassist@cab-bc.org, or submit it by fax: (250) 383-2400. If you have already registered and prefer to join this webcast in Smithers, please get in touch and we will happily refund the difference. Please note the registration deadline is Wednesday, March 11.
