Bulkley Valley Research Centre - Science in the Public Interest

Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation - Round Table Discussion

Tuesday June 14, 2011  10:30am-1:30pm

Gathering Area, Northwest Community College, 3996 2nd Avenue - Smithers

In past years the Bulkley Valley Research Centre, local researchers, and the Northwest BC community at large, have benefited from partnerships with the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF) on science-based studies related to wildlife and habitat.

In that light, and on behalf of the natural resource stakeholders in the Bulkley Valley/Nechako Region, the Centre has invited the HCTF to join us on June 14, at the Northwest Community College in Smithers, to participate in a round table discussion on partnerships, programs, and funding opportunities for qualifying projects in the our region.

The Centre is very pleased to invite a broad cross-section of stakeholders to this event, including guide-outfitters, the local resident hunters association, consultants, community leaders, and all local government Ministries. This will be a good opportunity for the HCTF to discuss goals and objectives, their new corporate structure and, of course, the focus of HCTF funding programs.

This event will be held at the Northwest Community College on Tuesday, June 14, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the gathering area.

This is intended to be a brown-bag lunch event (bring your own lunch). However, refreshements and light snacks will be served.
