The Coast Region Research Program and the Bulkley Valley Research Centre are collaborating in this project to produce digital biogeoclimatic unit maps on 1: 50,000 TRIM basemaps for the Central Coast - North Island Forest District. These biogeoclimatic unit maps are essential for forest planning and for implementation of ecosystem-based management. This agreement will allow the Bulkley Valley Research Centre to lend additional expertise to the project, in close collaboration with Ministry research staff, in a timely manner.
