In 2001, 79 permanent plots were established in the East Ootsa and Entiako areas to assess the response of terrestrial caribou forage lichens to mountain pine beetle attack and forest harvesting. Plots were re-measured in 2003 and 2005. The focus of this project is to re-photograph permanently marked photoplots and to re-measure all stand structure, regeneration and coarse woody debris data in 2007 and compare it to earlier measurements.
