Bulkley Valley Research Centre - Science in the Public Interest

Whitebark Pine

Whitebark pine, the first tree in western Canada to be declared endangered under the federal Species at Risk Act, became a topic of research for the Bulkley Valley Research Centre in 2007. Whitebark pine ecosystem mapping, restoration and awareness are all areas of interest for our researchers.
