This project will carry out Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC) sampling and related field and office work for the field data collection, processing, and analysis of the Nelson BEC refinement project.
This project will be a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Forests and Range and Bulkley Valley Research Centre to enhance Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC) sampling in the Nelson portion of the Southern Interior Forest Region. The Bulkley Valley Research Centre will provide the following:
- Experienced Ecological Consultants to participate with Ministry staff (and contractors) for field sampling and sample plan development, including administrative duties related to their employment (funded through this agreement).
- Contribution to travel costs for contractors while working away from Nelson.
- Contract administration.
- Mentorship to Ministry co-op students and auxiliary staff.
