Project Reference Number: 2006-12
Project Status: Complete
Led by: Don Morgan, Habitat Research Supply Network, Smithers

Managing for wide ranging species, such as Grizzly Bear, has become a provincial concern. Grizzly bears are threatened by habitat alterations from industrial resource extraction and from habitat encroachment by expanding human settlement. The intention of this project is to promote collaboration in grizzly bear habitat supply research through communications and a workshop of grizzly bear researchers to develop tools and techniques to include grizzly bear habitat needs in land use decision making.
