The implications of including and excluding the appropriate type, location, and quantity of both natural and prescribed fires on various landscapes historically and under a future climate are being evaluated. The goal is to recommend more informed prescribed fire placement on the landscape. Current knowledge of prescribed burning in BC has been reviewed and a summary papers drafted. Partnerships are being developed with communities, First Nations, universities, and others.
