Project Proposal

Annually resolved tree-ring analysis has become a widely accepted proxyindicator of climate variability. Proposed here is a project aimed at utilizing tree ring analysis to link climate variability with Dothistroma septospora outbreaks. Existing Dothistroma outbreak data, also derived through tree ring analysis, will be combined with climate chronologies to identify the influence climate may contribute towards Dothistroma outbreaks in the Skeena Stikine Forest District.
