The purpose of this transfer payment is to expand the functionality of SORTIE-ND for use in forest management, with a special emphasis on management of mountain pine beetle damaged forests.
The project will:
a) Develop a new harvest interface that allows users to more readily specify a wide and flexible range of silvicultural prescriptions.
b) Expand the range of graphical display and output and reporting options with particular emphasis on both residual forest structure and yield.
