Project Reference Number: 2006-19

Project Status: Complete

This study is designed to expand and assist in the modelling efforts using the SELES (Spatially Explicit Landscape Event Simulator) model, and associated belief network models, to examine some stewardship implications of the Mountain Pine Beetle outbreak and associated management responses. This also includes integration with stand level modelling efforts, and field studies. This is in support of developing stewardship options/guidelines in relation to mountain pine beetle salvage and longer-term management/restoration in the context of climate change and other uncertainty.
