The interaction of the mountain pine-beetle epidemic, other natural disturbance, and varying timber harvest and salvaging strategies are being simulated for the Nadina Forest District. The potential responses of a variety of vertebrate species are also being simulated to explore the implications to meeting stewardship objectives. Results will be summarized/interpreted in a Bayesian decision modelling framework.
