Map of Ruby Creek SMA boundary and proposed TEM areas

In Northwestern BC, 22 km Northeast of the community of Atlin, the Ruby Creek Molybdenum Project has an approved Environmental Assessment (EA) certificate and is starting production this fiscal year. One of the outcomes from government to government discussions between the Province of BC and the Taku River Tlingit First Nations (TRTFN) identifies a Ruby Creek SMA as accommodation for concerns regarding adverse effects the project would have on Aboriginal rights and title. As outlined in a letter of commitment from the Province to the TRTFN dated October 29th, the Province identifies that there is TEM mapping for ¼ of the proposed SMA and proposes to complete TEM for the area south and west of Fourth of July creek.

The objective of this project is to complete the TEM mapping for the Ruby Creek SMA to current provincial standards.
