Cedar is an applied hydroclimatologist and paleoscientist (PhD, Geography, MSc, Biology). She specializes in exploring the influence of climate variability and change on the management of water resources in northern British Columbia. Cedar held a teaching position at the University of Northern British Columbia, Northwest (Terrace) Campus. She currently oversees the management of territory lands and resources for a First Nation and enjoys acting as a link between science and policy. Cedar has worked as a researcher for universities, government, and industry. She also holds a professional designation with the BC Institute of Agrologists.
