BVRC Jim Pojar, Irving Fox and Volunteer Award Nominations

The annual BVRC awards are open for nominations.  Each year the Centre provides the opportunity for recognition of those who have contributed to the understanding of responsible natural resource stewardship in northwest BC.

The Jim Pojar Award is granted to an individual or group who through a publication has made a significant contribution to the public appreciation or scholarly understanding of the ecological and community dimensions of natural resource use, and/or the sustainability of natural resources in northwest BC.

The Irving Fox Award recognizes an outstanding contribution to the sustainability of natural and community resources in northwest BC through either a specific project or a lifetime contribution.

The Volunteer Distinction Award is to commend an active and involved volunteer member of the BVRC.

Award nominations can be submitted to info@bvcentre.ca. Deadline for nominations is June 18, 2024. Awards will be presented at the 2024 AGM on Monday, June 24, at The Old Church in Smithers.
