Hannah Horn

Hannah Horn has worked in natural resources management throughout BC for over 30 years.  Much of this work has been based in the northwest, where she has been involved in technical and process coordination of strategic land use plans in the North Coast, Haida Gwaii, the Cassiar and Morice. Most of this work has been in forestry-dominant landscapes, although more recently she has been working in Tahltan territory and learning a lot about mineral exploration and mining.  Prior to her current consulting work she worked as a Manager of Special Investigations for the Forest Practices Board and as Director of Cumulative Effects for the Province.  She has Masters degrees in Natural Resources Management from SFU and Biological Sciences from U of Alberta.

Hannah is knowledgeable about Board governance, having served on a number of Boards, including the College of Applied Biologists (CAB) for two terms as Regional CouncillorShe and her partner live in Clearwater, in the territory of the Simpcw First Nation.

Hannah has long admired the philosophy and work of the BVRC and would welcome the opportunity to be part of its governance.  This is especially true as the organization expands into larger, more provincial scale projects and redefines itself accordingly.
