Working In Conflict: Being Your Best In An Imperfect World

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Location: via Zoom
About this Presentation

While there are tools and skills that can help manage, reduce, or resolve conflict, we may find ourselves in workplace conflicts – among individuals, organizations, or cultures – that seem irresolvable. This presentation will include a brief discussion of conflict resolution perspectives and skills, but the focus will be on what to do when a conflict does not appear to be going away. The discussion will touch on ideas related to remaining focused on important goals and values, developing and maintaining constructive and supportive work relationships, being realistic about one’s ability to change other people, and building tolerance for anxiety when faced with different opinions and personal or organizational styles.
