Jill Budelli
Jill Budelli has 20 plus years of industry knowledge coupled with over ten years serving on boards for public and private companies including for-profit and non-profit boards, and from small, start-up companies to provincial organizations. While Jill calls Vancouver her home-base, she has strong familiarity with Smithers as employment and friendships has her in the Bulkley Valley region from a few weeks to a few months each year.
The captivation of science and research started as a child and was enriched during her tenure at UBC where she managed a research portfolio. It was this experience that led her into the natural resources sector where she has spent the last two decades. Although her board and industry experience has been focused within BC, she brings additional jurisdictional experience having worked with resource management projects in Canada, the US, and Latin America.
Jill has an MBA from Arden University, England that is preceded by a degree in geography with a concentration in sociology and additional credentials in mining studies, diversity and inclusion, and leadership from various Canadian organizations. Her experiences have provided her with the perspective that local knowledge, science, generational wisdom, research, and innovative thought collectively support the opportunity to explore a better path forward.
