Nikki Beaudoin
Nikki is the Lead Field Research Technician for the Silviculture Innovation and Fire Stewardship Programs at the BVRC. She holds a BSc in Physical Geography from the University of Victoria and is a Biologist in Training with the BC College of Applied Biology. Much of her career has focused on ungulates—specifically caribou and moose across northern BC.
Outside of the BVRC, Nikki is collaborating with researchers at the University of Northern British Columbia on a camera trap methodology study examining moose visitation to roadside mineral licks. She is an advocate for community involvement and citizen science, and can usually be found “iNatting” in her free time. When not keying out lichens, Nikki enjoys biking and skiing in one form or another, making the most of the beautiful Bulkley Valley.
