Occupational Health Impacts of Wildfire
About this presentation
With increasing global wildfire activity, a growing number of workers are engaged in wildfire suppression activities. Wildfire fighters work through their summers to keep our communities safe and it is important we understand the potential impacts on their health. During this talk, Dr. Pelletier will present a summary of our current knowledge on the physical and mental health impacts of wildfire for wildfire fighters and people working in related roles. This will include an identification of major gaps in our understanding and a discussion on next steps for research based on worker-identified priorities.
