Harvesting for Goshawks
About this presentation
The Northern Goshawk is an iconic forest raptor (“ghost of the forest”) that was once a common bird throughout the Bulkley Valley. This presentation will show the linkages between extensive forest harvest and the dramatic decline in the number of goshawks. In response to this decline, the resource community is supporting a collaborative initiative to develop forest management strategies that prevent the loss of goshawks from our landscape.
