Partnerships and the Fire Stewardship Program

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Location: The Old Church and on Zoom
About the Seminar

Dr. Hoffman will introduce the Fire Stewardship Program and share practical lessons from the team on building a collaborative fire stewardship model in British Columbia. Drawing from on-the-ground experience, the model explores how partnerships across agencies, communities, and knowledge systems are reshaping how we support the implementation of prescribed and cultural fire. The seminar will also examine historic fire activity in sub-boreal and temperate forests, highlighting a fuller understanding of our forests when we value multiple forms of science, Indigenous knowledge, and practitioner experience.

Join us at The Old Church in Smithers, or on Zoom.
