Sarah Hanna

Sarah is the Junior Field Technician for the BVRC and a current Natural Resource Protection student at Vancouver Island University. Holding a Diploma in Resource Management Officer Technology, she is continuing to expand her expertise in forest ecology, biology, and natural resource stewardship.

Sarah has hands-on experience in ecological fieldwork, invasive species management, and environmental data collection. Prior to joining the Centre, she worked on an invasive coastal grass management project throughout the Lower Mainland and the Comox Valley, contributing to monitoring, control efforts, and field data collection.

In her free time, you can find her exploring the Bulkley Valley on her bicycle, and sampling the many local treats that Smithers has to offer.
