Tyreen Kapoor

Tyreen is the SIP’s Data Curation Specialist, gathering and curating a wide array of resources to improve knowledge and adoption of innovative silviculture in British Columbia. Tyreen has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC) and a Master of Science degree from Carleton University (Ottawa, ON). Through science-education work experiences, Tyreen developed a keen interest in understanding how scientific information can be communicated and made accessible to users. Her master’s research explored what is required in practice to support and facilitate effective knowledge exchange in the forestry sector and make space for evidence-informed practices. When she is away from her desk, she loves to make pottery and explore the outdoors.
